To continue our students’ progression, we offer a 6-week Extended School Year (ESY) program during the summer months that continues our educational and therapeutic programs.
We offer an open enrollment for those students whose school or district does not offer an extended school year. Please contact our principal Dr. Keith Rygiel for more information.
School Principal
Keith Rygiel, Associate Director / Principal
Dr. Rygiel has more than 20 years of experience in special education at 1st Cerebral Palsy of NJ. He began his career as a member of our physical therapy department before furthering his education and transitioning into an administrative role. He has the experience, knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective school leader. Please contact him anytime – he would be happy to answer all your questions on anything from child placement to state regulations to parents’ rights. He is also available for personal tours of our facility.
Teachers
Our teachers are a combination of preschool, grammar school and high school teachers that continue to teach in our extended program. An interdisciplinary approach is critical to the success of our school and our students. Here, teachers work alongside therapists to give each student a consistent and intensive program that fosters success in all areas.
Technology We Use
All classrooms are equipped with computers that have touch screen capabilities. Classrooms are also equipped with the latest Smart Board interactive whiteboards. This interactive technology lets teachers deliver dynamic lessons and students write notes in digital ink and save work – all with the simple touch of a finger. The unique collaborative learning experiences ensure students are at the center of every lesson. Students also have access to iPads to supplement and enhance their lessons. Wireless internet service is available for easy access throughout the school.
