+TEACHER AIDES

1st Cerebral Palsy is hiring Teacher’s Aides. Candidates will work collaboratively with classroom teachers and therapists to support students with multiple disabilities. Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: providing direct assistance to students in classroom and with physical care, positioning of students in various equipment, and assisting teachers with classroom organization. $17.00/hour.  Benefits and paid time off.

 

+SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

1st Cerebral Palsy is hiring a Special Education Teacher! Come join a dynamic team of teachers and therapists serving students with multiple disabilities ages 3-21. Candidates should be creative, have strong communication skills, and ability to differentiate instruction.Must have Teacher of Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. Will consider strong candidates with CE or CEAS.

 

+TRANSITION COORDINATOR

Seeking transition team coordinator to oversee and manage transition program for students ages 14 – 21.  Individual will be expected to seek out and develop structured learning experiences in the community.  Using a team approach develop individualized transition plans, coordinate job training and placement of students for skill development within the school and community.  Candidates Require: Standard NJ TOH or TOSD certification, SLE Preferred and background check in accordance with the NJ Dept. of Education

 

+  SKILL INSTRUCTOR (RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM)

1st Cerebral Palsy of NJ is seeking part time and per diem skill instructors for our residential program. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid NJ drivers license. Must complete training classes as required by 1st Cerebral Palsy of NJ and DDD. Some Responsibilities include but are not limited to: working with adult consumers in a group home setting, assisting adults with daily care needs, enhancing consumers self-sufficiency, carry out in house and out of house group activities, accompany consumers to various medical appointments, and ensure the safety of consumers.
